AN ONTOLOGICAL PLAY ON IDENTITY
Amaqaba Lightworks is an Avatar Exhibition, consisting of original artworks digitally transformed by Artificial Intelligence and Design Software. Multiple collections form part of the exhibition, with Themes and Metaphysics pivoting around Ontology, Identity, Consciousness, Phenomenology, Holism and Existentialism, amongst others. Digital versions of the original artworks do not form part of the Avatar Exhibition, only their digital transformations.
ONTOS PRIMORDIA GALLERY IN NAUTILUS METROPOPLIS
Somewhere, in another world, exists Nautilus Metropolis, A settlement built around the Ontos Primordia Gallery, a structure which evolves itself according to the mechanics of the Fibonacci Sequence.
Ontos Primordia Gallery hosts a mirror exhibition, containing the Amaqaba Lightworks master copies, which the avatar artworks are based on.
HIDE AND SEEK IN PLAIN SIGHT
Amaqaba Lightworks therefore exhibits the Hidden, the Obscured, the Covert and the Transfigured. This exhibition reflects the manifestation and meaning making processes of a world simulated by the artificial intelligence resident in humans. Artificial in a sense that it is a consciousness mostly assimilated as opposed to being self-generated and self-discovered.
The exhibition explores how the subconscious, veiled reality negotiates with and calibrates this simulation.
